Lower Sector Teacher At Bava Since 2019

My name is Lima Rutera and I am from Central province. This is my first time teaching at Bava International School and I am learning just as much as the children.

Bava is a great school because it provides a supportive and familiar environment, not only for the children but the staff as well. I have gained skills that I use to care for children in my own home.

I enjoy helping young children in our Play/Preschool classes learn, say and blend phonic sounds. This provides them with the building blocks they need to read and speak.

I have faced challenges as a new teacher in a new environment, but the other staff helped me settle in quickly. Especially with picking up the Jolly Phonics syllabus that we use at Bava School. During my time here I have trained as a teacher-aide to the Play/Preschool sector and also take care of the library. It is my pleasure to spend reading time with the children as they develop their reading and comprehension skills.
