GREETINGS ALL!

The pool is nearly repaired and ready for action again!
It has been quite a while since we last communicated through our last newsletter! Instead we have been updating our news in social media especially through Facebook so hope that you are able to be updated on what we do here. With the current Covid-19 situation gaining momentum in our city and the country at large, we are all taking additional precautions to safeguard ourselves.
If we act in your view to be too strict please just remember it is in the best interest of our children, our families and the general health of our communities at large. We expect everyone to please abide by the Covid-19 rules for the safety and good health for all of us!
Going into the end of the fourth week towards the end of the academic year, we are working hard to ensure that this year’s programs and expected outcomes are achieved without any hiccups despite the many interruptions throughout the year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic impacts. Every care is taken that the children who have completed the year will be fully qualified to upgrade to their next levels wherever they will choose to continue their schooling.
We are confident that they will be just fine! I have much to thank the parents and guardians for having the trust and confidence in the school and management to complete the year with us.

6. PLAY/PRESCHOOL CLASS – Mrs Matui:
A big hello from the lower sector. We are happy and enjoying our term. Our theme for Term 4 is “Celebrating my Changing World.”
We have done revision activities on our 5 main subjects.
Jolly Phonics
The children are doing well with their revisions on Volume 1 and 2 sounds. Sounding and blending of 2/3 letter words, tricky words with picture reading.
Maths
We have touched base on our numbers, number-poems, shapes and color-poems.
In Week 3 we studied addition and this week, the children are learning about subtraction or take away.
Science
We have done revision on the body, The 5 Senses and the living and non living things. Some of our activities are displayed in the hallway for our lovely parents to see.
Social studies
Scripts for our social studies on “me, myself and I” were given out already. The children talk about themselves and what they want to be in the future. Felicity wants to be a doctor, Monalisa a police officer and April a model.
Health – Good Habits
Five good manners and Covid 19/Delta variants are being learned this week. The children will revise the importance of the safety measures we should abide with.
***Some reminders:
Halloween theme: Royal Halloween. Halloween on Friday 29th October 2021. Please continue to help our children at home with their scripts and homework.
Thank you.

8. Upper Grades Classes – Mr Mea:
Hi everyone, welcome to our class news.
It is four weeks into the final term for this year and I’m so happy and proud of my student’s progress thus far.
Classroom lessons
Most of our lessons for this term are revisions. The students are very much interested as we are revisiting what they had already learned earlier this year.
Assessments
Tests will be given in weeks 4 and 5. I’ve already collected some marks from their projects/assignments and class activities. All are doing fairly well. Please ensure that your child submits all Assessable tasks.
Report Cards
All Report Cards for the Cluster Grades shall be completed after all assessments are compiled. Make sure all children are in school for the rest of the year!
Thank you.
Mr Mea – Class Teacher
9. Library Corner – Ms Rutera:
Hello and welcome. This is the last term of the year 2021 and so much has been done and taught since Term 1.
So far we have been revising on sounding, blending, word formation and sentence formation. Reading by many students has progressed very well.
I am more than happy to see their improvement and would kindly encourage every single parent to continue to guide them to practice their Jolly Phonics sounding and blending skills during reading time as they are already taught the basics at school, especially from Preps – Grade 4.
Thank you.
Ms Rutera – Library Teacher
10. Registrar – Mrs Tione:
Hi everyone, good to see you all.
With the Covid Delta taking lots of lives in the city, please take care of yourself and our little children. As always, please follow the New Normal.
Wear a mask, sanitize and stay away from crowded places.
Lastly, for those who still owe us please pay up now. Next week children will be sent home as it is now half the term gone! Thank you for your support and understanding!
Stay safe and God bless.

We are so happy that we are still able to communicate this way as well. School and home partnership is so very important for the child’s continuing learning and development experiences. Those of you who still feel the need to consult your child’s class teacher for any grey areas for your child, please do not hesitate to make the necessary arrangements as soon as possible. Other than that, what has been prepared for the year has been successfully achieved regardless of the Covid-19 disruptions. Also take note that there is a special discounted school fee currently on offer between now to 31 December 2021. Take advantage.
2022 Enrolment is also open for acceptance also. UNTIL Next issue, have a safe reading and see you back in school.
PLEASE TAKE EXTRA GOOD CARE AND FOLLOW THE COVID-19 RULES TO KEEP YOURSELF AND EVERYONE SAFE AND HEALTHY! NO ONE ENTERS THE SCHOOL PREMISES WITHOUT WEARING MASKS! THANK YOU!
Blessings & Peace,
